    Tag your prompts

    Last updated [DATE]

Every prompt gets auto tags from its wording, and you can add your own tags, for example by product line or by client.

Who can do this: owners and editors add and manage tags. Everyone can filter by tags.

    Steps

    Tag one prompt

    1. In the prompts table, open the prompt's actions menu and select Edit tags.
    2. Pick existing tags, or type a New tag and select Create.
    3. Select Save tags.

    Rename or delete a tag

    1. Select Tags, then Manage tags.
    2. Select Rename or Delete next to a tag. Deleting a tag removes it from its prompts; the prompts stay.

    What you should see

    • Auto tags (Branded or Non-branded, plus an intent: Informational, Commercial, Comparison or Transactional) are set from the prompt's wording, so they can't be changed.
    • Your tags appear next to the auto tags in the table and in the Tags filter.

    If it doesn't work

    • "Type a name first.": the tag name is empty.
    • "You already have a tag with that name.": pick another name.
    • "That name belongs to an auto tag. Pick another.": names like "Branded" are reserved.
    • "Tag names can have up to 40 characters.": shorten the name.
    • "That's the maximum of 30 tags. Delete one to add another.": delete a tag you no longer use.
